A downloadable game for Windows and Mac OS X

"Mr Floppy System's recovery" is a 2D platformer controlled by a real and physical floppy Disk. You control a little floppy disk struggling to climb up and reboot his memory. You can only Jump (with the Up key) or Dash down (with the Down Key)

° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° HOW DOES IT WORKS ? ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° °

You need a Makey Makey board, 3 electric wires, some copper tape and a floppy disk of course !!! Connect le "mass" of the MM on the metallic part of the floppy disk. On each side of it, tape the wires. When you move the trigger, it should touch de copper tape in order to create an electric field. Then connect the two wires to the Up and Down entry on the MM board. That's all !

V2 is almost there !
- Better feedbacks and explosions
- 3 new levels
- Audio trigger (no more wires and electronics)

couldn't you code this to listen to the mic, and you calibrate it to the sound of the floppy? i don't think anyone wants to do that wireing or has a makeymakey board

Yeah, it will work off course. We already thinking about it, but a sound trigger will have issues, especially when you play in a noisy room or with other Mr Floppy games near you. But ! it will be really cool to play without any wires or MM.

V2 of Mr. Floppy will be released next week I think, better feedbacks and 3 new levels.

could try noise gate for background, but yeah i see if others play it too, but atm, i think that would be a better solution than the current expectations, cause theirs no way im destorying a floppy, getting some wireing stuff, and a specific board and fuss with wireing it all up just to check out the concept

(Edited 1 time)

True that ! we're working on an "electronic free" version of Mr Floppy. Let's see that in a few weeks :)

sweet, i look forward to making a fun video about it when that happens
